Blockchain 101: Is Paxful Wallet a Good Bitcoin Wallet?

Bitcoin is a type of cryptocurrency that exists and operates using the blockchain technology. Balances in bitcoin are maintained using public and private keys. These keys are long strings of numbers and letters that are linked with the help of encryption algorithms that were used in the process of creating them.

The public key can be considered similar to a bank account number,  and it serves as the public address that is used to receive bitcoins from others. The private key is similar to an ATM PIN and should be kept as a secret, known only to you. This is used to authorize Bitcoin transactions from your wallet.

  • Blockchain for sure will be a big deal. But bitcoin uses blockchain where most people equate the two. So for the most part I agree with you. At some point bitcoin will just be some esoteric medium like the Liberty dollar movement that fizzled and countless others. Blockchains, on the other hand, will endure and grow. Probably not as federated as they are now but with more trusted entities. There will always be a middle-man and so it’ll be with the trusted ledger entities. All the companies working with blockchain (non-bitcoin) are using Etherium and trusted entities for ledger holding rather than a free for all.
