The Thai entertainment sector has been steadily expanding over the past few years, even making its way to the Philippines. It’s not surprising that celebrities from the Land of Smiles are stealing our hearts when Asian nations are in the limelight these days thanks to an abundance of amazing TV series and films to binge-watch. Combine outstanding looks and youthful charm with a healthy dose of appeal, elegance, and talent, and you have yourself an almost ideal man. Many of them have become well-known by playing parts in web series and other Lakorn (Thai soap operas) as well as the Boys Love (BL) genre.
1) Son Yook Songpaisarn
Son is from a wealthy family: his mother was an air hostess, his father is the captain of Thai Airlines, and his younger sister is presently pursuing her studies in Canada. He is from a Thai-Chinese family and is of mixed ancestry, like most Thai “superstars.” As a young model, Pakorn also began his career in the media and gained recognition when some of his images were published in publications. Subsequently, he embarked on a lengthy career as an actor, appearing in dramas, miniseries, and finally commercials in Thailand.
3) Pong Nawat Kulratanarak
Pong, who is regarded as one of Exact’s A-List performers, began his acting career in 2001, but it wasn’t until his breakout performance as an unfaithful husband in the 2008 popular song Kram Nang Fah that he gained recognition from lakorn viewers and was nominated for his first acting award. Even if they detested his character Ning, viewers kept watching to find out what he would do next. In response to a question in a Chinese interview, Pong said that Sang Kram Nang Fah’s work was his favorite as it advanced his career. 4) Barry Nadech Kugimiya
Actor and model Nadech Kugimiya is of Thai and Austrian heritage. At seventeen, Nadech embarked on a modeling career. He debuted in a feature drama in 2010 as Nawa, the main character in “Ngao Rak Luang Jai.” After starring as Fai in “Duang Jai Akkanee” and as “Yaya” Urassaya Sperbund in “Game Rai Game Rak,” he became incredibly popular. 5) Rome patchata
Actor and model Patchata Nampan (nickname: Rome), presently performing under the stage name Ohm Atshar Nampan, is from Thailand. He spent more than 15 years working for Thai TV3 until becoming a free agent in the first part of 2019.
6) Tik Jesdaporn Pholdee
Actor, model, and presenter Jesdaporn Pholdee is from Thailand. He started off modeling for television advertisements. He gained a lot of notoriety for his debut movie appearance in “Dang Bireley’s and Young Gangsters” in 1997, which also earned him the Blockbuster Thailand Entertainment Award. Following that, he starred in other lakorns and films, including “Kaew Tah Pee” (2006) and “The Iron Ladies” (2000). He acted in the Asian horror movie “The Eye 2” as well. In 2003, the Internet Durex Global Sex Survey named him the “Sexiest Man in Thailand”. Three-quarters of the Thai women questioned voted for him.
7) Mario Maurer
Mario Maurer is a renowned model and actor from Thailand. His unique and adored appearance stems from his mixed German and Chinese ancestry. It seems that his father gave him an Italian name because of his love of Italian motorbikes. A scout contacted Maurer when he was sixteen years old to try out modeling close to Siam Square in the heart of Bangkok. Maurer quickly began appearing in Thai TV shows and motion pictures. His breakthrough performances were in the critically acclaimed films “The Love of Siam” (2007) and “First Love” (2010). In addition, he starred in “Pee Mak,” Thailand’s highest-grossing movie ever.
8)Ken Theeradej Wongpuapan
His mother is a TV scriptwriter and his father is a director. At the age of seven, he started performing in 1985, thanks to his father’s recommendation. As the director, he cast the play The Six Siblings. After that, he acted in the television drama My Sweet Orange Tree before quitting to go to school. Before his enormous rise to fame with his role in the television series Song Rao Nirund Dom (2005), Ken featured in several dramas. His subsequent endeavors were all enormously prosperous; with the release of television shows like Oum Ruk (2006) and Sawan Biang (also known as Paradise Diversion) (2008), his notoriety soared.
9) Bie Sukrit Wisedkaew
Sukrit Wisetkaew, a Thai pop singer and actor, is better known by his stage name Bie. In the third season of the Thai television talent competition The Star, he was found. Following his first-runner-up finish in The Star 3, Bie went on to become one of the greatest up-and-coming singers, becoming extremely well-known with his first single, I Need Somebody. He goes by the moniker Bie The Star.
10) Weir Sukollawat
Weir is a well-known actor from Thailand who frequently appears in Thai media. He appears in TV programs, movies, commercials, presentations, and series. Weir entered the Thai drama industry quickly and was given a chance to shine with the Plik Din Su Dao series. Since 2006, Weir has acted in five films, over 40 Thai drama series, and many TV ads for well-known local brands.
11) Mark Prin Suparat
Actor “Mark” Prin Suparat was nurtured in Lampang after being born in Chiang Mai. When he was in grade twelve, he won a Judo tournament and was granted an athletic scholarship to Rangsit University. Following his channel 3 manager’s scouting, Mark made his stage debut. He quickly gained notoriety and, together with Kimberly Anne Woltemas, became a ‘khu jin’ (Fantasy Couple), becoming one of Thailand’s most beloved pairs. After dating for eight years, the two were engaged on April 17, 2022, and they were married on September 14, 2023.
12) Pulpat Attapanyapol
Thai actor Pol Poonpat Attapanyapol was born in Chiang Mai. His degree from Rangsit University, where he majored in communication arts, is in advertising.
13) Shahkrit Yamnarm
Ahkrit Yamnam, also known as Krit, is a model, host, restaurateur, and actor in both cinema and television. From his 1997 debut in a drama, Krit has gone on to feature in several dramas, sitcoms, films, and foreign projects, including Belly of the Beast starring Steven Seagal and Bangkok Dangerous with Nicolas Cage. From 2012 to 2016, Krit was wed to actor Woonsen Virithipa Pakdeeprasong.
14) Pop Thagoon Karnthip
Bangkok-born “Pop” Thagoon Karnthip is an actor and singer who is associated with Channel 3. In 2014, he eventually finished his studies at the Faculty of Political Science at Ramakhamhaeng University, having previously stopped and started many degrees. Pop’s most well-known product is the singing competition “The Singer.”
15) Gun Kantathaworn
Kan Kantathavorn, also known as Fluke, is a DJ, actor, and rapper. He made his screen debut as Dao Jarus Fa, a Thai television drama based on the life of Varayuth Milinthajinda. He had appearances in music videos and advertisements. He is Workpoint Entertainment’s host.
